I haven't timed them but I haven't noticed any big differences in performance. You'll need to use 32-bit if you call any 32-bit dll's or your broker/data provider only offers 32-bit support. 64-bit gives you access to more memory; it's not easy to do, but I have hit memory limits under 32-bit running big optimizations over an instrument list.

I also use TradeStation on a 64 bit machine and was very disappointed to find out that it does not run native but 64 bit has to be emulated, and therefore runs SLOWER than in 32 bit!! TS also only uses 1 core of a multi core cpu for calculations!

Can someone please confirm if NT 7 64 bit is Native or emulated, and that it is multithreaded to use all cpu cores.

        Thanks.
