    error on loading chart

    Support,

I tried to load a ES 09-10 10000 volume chart for last 10 days, and it loaded fine. But when I tried to load the chart for 25 days, it gave this error referring to ES 06-10

Is this a known bug in Beta 17? Why is it downloading ES 06-10 data, is it due to the merge, shouldn't it directly download already merged 09-10 data from zenfire/ninja servers ?

Beta 17 has been running stable with 144 mb in task manager and system has more than sufficient memory available.

FYI, this is a clean install of Beta 17 on windows xp.

Thanks for reporting in achiever, no the data is merged on your end according to the rollover dates set, so for data before last Thursday > it would need to load the June contract from our servers. Is this issue still current for you, as it appeared to have been a short term connection issue...

    Thanks

      Bertrand,

Can you please try at your end and see. First load a 10 days of 10000 vol chart of ES 09-10 and then load like 35 days of it. I tried a few times since yesterday,..exact same problem.

Looks like a bug in Beta-17?

zenfire seems to work fine for other things though.

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce here -

        1. Load ES 09-10 10 days back Volume chart on instrument session / cash market hrs > ok

        2. Change days back 35 and hit 'Apply' takes a moment but loads all data as needed.

Done on the regular merge policy.

          Thanks for trying Bertrand.

I tried to manually download ES 06-10 data, and it gave same error, that connection zen server problem.

Then, I disconnected zenfire and retried and it worked fine on loading a 35 day ES 09-10 chart, it downloaded the necessary data. Appears like for some reason part of the zenfire connection is becoming stale and was refreshed only after disconnect/reconnect.

Do nt 6.5 and nt-7 connect to the same zenfire servers? I have no problem with zenfire on nt 6.5 though.

          Thanks

Thanks for the feedback Achiever, the data servers used would be different - can you please direct trace and logs files via Help > Mail to Support to us and please include the approx time when this issue occured so we can track it hopefully down.

            Thanks for your support.

Error on loading chart - addtl

              I get the following error:

"Error on loading chart data for 'WTIC 06-10 Ipe': E, Invalid symbol.,"

This comes up when trying to load the 08-10 WTI Crude from the ICE. I'm using DTN, so I do have the symbol mapped correctly with "CRD".

What's interesting is that I've seen this problem on other charts, but it can be "remedied" when loading fewer days. In this case, even when I load just 1 day, I get this error.

I have checked the spec'd roll dates, and I haven't changed anything in WTIC from what Ninja 7 set as defaults.

              Please advise -

Thanks for reporting in, do you see the same issue if you set the MergePolicy for the WTIC master instrument to 'DoNotMerge'? The CRD map should be correct on the IPE exchange and IQFeed.

That does it, thank you very much.
