NT 7.0.0.17 general crash

    NT 7.0.0.17 general crash

    I was working with NT 7.0.0.17, editing an indicator. When I tried to compile it, NT crashed and would repeatedly crash whenever I start it. There were no errors in the indicator that I was compiling as I had already successfully compiled it, and just opened it to add in the versioning information as comments.

    I have created a zip file with pictures of the error message, a drwtsn32 dump file and the NT trace file. If you want to, kindly contact me to send someone the file, as the file contains sensitive information about my environment, and I would rather not post it in a public forum.

    koganam, thanks for the report, can you please contact us via Help > Mail to Support and then attach your custom files as well for us to review?

      I have not been clear, it would seem. It is NOT possible to contact you that way because NT 7.0.0.17 will not start and load the Control Center to the point where it is possible to access any menus. Control Center loads, then after a few minutes crashes. There is NO WAY to access Help>Mail to Support if the Control Center is not up. Screenshot attached. Once you see that dialog box, it means that the Control Center cannot be accessed.

        Please send us the log/trace files as an email attachment to support [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with a link to this thread.

        You can find the log and trace files located at Documents\NinjaTrader 7\log and \trace respectively.

          The files that you requested have been sent.

          Is there anything else that you might want to see?

          When I elect to debug (using the button on the error dialog box), it says that there is a stack overflow in ninjatrader.exe. I have not bothered to actually run the debugger, as I would not know what to look for, seeing as how I have no access to the source code anyway.

            I responded to your email in the morning with further instructions from development. They would need a reproducible scenario. Can you please zip up your Documents\NinjaTrader 7 directory and send that to us? Thank you.
