ATM Strategy wrongly changed when using market analyzer

This has become a real pain and has caused me to keep entering orders with no ATM strategy.. thus no stops etc...

Here is what happens...
I have a market analyzer and one chart .. they are both linked.
I click on a symbol in the MA and then in the chart I select my desired ATM strategy and place the order.
Now I go and click on a different symbol in the MA.. when the linked chart updates with the new symbol it switches the ATM strategy name to <NONE>.
Can you please have it always default to the last used ATM strategy name???????

Thank you for your forum post.

When I change the chart from a linked market analyzer on my side the ATM Strategy remains. This may have been something that has been fixed in beta 17. What version of NinjaTrader 7 are you running. This is found by going to Control Center->Help->About and is to the right of the NinjaTrader logo.

If you are not running 7.0.0.17 please upgrade to 17 and test again and let me know the results.

Also if you are on 7.0.0.15 please pay special attention to the upgrade installation instructions to upgrade your version to 7.0.0.17.

Hi Brett..

I am running beta17.

Please look at my original post again.. the key is that I place an order on the cart and then click in the MA again... it's only after placing an order that it forgets and starts using <none> instead of the last used strategy name.
For me this is a serious issue as it's very easy to be switching between symbols and making trades and not notice that the default strategy changed on you!

I got the same on my side and tested with NinjaTrader 6.5 and had the same behavior so this is expected. I will however get this sent to the development team so that they can look into this and I would like to thank you for your suggestion.

This occurs due to the fact that the Template is no longer selected due to the New ActiveATMTemplate. ATMStrategySelectionMode doesnt seem to effect this as you can change this by right clicking on the chart Trader and change ATM Strategy Selection Mode to KeepSelectedATMStrategyTemplateSelected will keep the template and allow you to switch to another chart and keep the template selected however switching back to a chart the a ATM strategy is active on will then elicit the same behavior again.

I will send this into development.
