    Heavy API Error

    Hello,

a good new feature is "connect on startup" in the account connection menu. Using that function I can start NinjaTrader and initiate a connection to my broker. Than my own programm can connect to NinjaTrader using the DLL-Interface. That works pretty good.

But there is a heavy error: When a new version of NinjaTrader is released a message box appears after NinjaTrader has started. When this message box appears my programm can not connect to NinjaTrader. I have to close the window manually before my programm can connect.

    Please correct this heavy error.

    Thanks

      Hello,

Can you clarify a bit more for me for development.

When you connect does the message come up and then you have to click OK and then it automatically connects or if the message comes up do you have to then manually connect by going to File->Connect.

      Thank You.

The connection to the broker will be estahlised regardless if the message comes up or not. But if this message comes up a connection from an external programm via DLL-Interface to NinjaTrader is not possible. You have to click OK, before an external programm can connect to NinjaTrader, when this message comes up. So in that case the connect at startup is useless because the connection to the broker can not be used.

Idea for the fix: A connection via DLL-Interface to NinjaTrader should be possible regardless if the message comes up or not.

            Hello,

yesterday I received an other message at startup of NinjaTrader that causes that my program can not connect to NinjaTrader:

"Thursday June 10th is contect rollover for several futures contracts. Please click to the following link for instructions on how to rollover a futures contract."

With these problems it's not possible to use NinjaTrader when working with the DLL-Interface. Please fix this problem quickly.

            Regards,
            trader1996

To clarify:We have no plans to change this behavior as the feature you refer to is essential to notify our users. Your custom software solution should not rely on any different behavior. Thanks for your understanding.
