Charts with IB Loading too much Historical Data casing Pacing Violation

    Good Morning:

I am currently usin NT7 B16 with IB. I have 2 workspaces open, one with futures charts all 5 min charts and 7 days loaded. And stocks the same 5 min charts 7 days loaded. I am having an issue with overloading of historical data when connecting to IB on futures. I attached 3 screen shots, 1 of the the control center corner, 1 of the chart settings, and the pacing error. For some is reason it has started to load far more data then requested and I get the pacing error. I haven't had any issues if I keep requests to less than 7 days. For some reason it now keeps overloading past the requested days which I believe is causing the issue. Look at the control center screenshot, as you can see it appears to be loading data from the IB server well over seven days. It has been working fine for 2 weeks.

    Thanks...

    Hello TraderJesse,

    Thank you for your post.

From the Control Center, please click File > Workspaces.
In the workspaces menu, aside from the workspace that is checked, how many other workspaces are listed?

      Workspaces

Two The Futures and Stock workspaces. Just re-verified all charts are 5 min with 7 days to load. 10 charts per worspace.

        Hello TraderJesse,

As a test, please take the following steps:
        • Open a new workspace (File > Workspaces > New Workspace).
        • Next, click File > Workspaces and select one of the workspaces which was already opened.
        • After selecting the workspace, click File > Workspaces > Close Workspace.
        • Close each workspace until only the new workspace is open.
        • In that new workspace, load a new chart of 6A using the same options and let me know if this request occurs using only the date range you input.

          Did that

It a single chart worked. Went back to my workspace and isolated three individual charts, 6a ,6e, and 6j. I deleted them. Upon trying to recreate the first new chart it start loading the 7 days of data, it loaded for almost 3 mins then crashed ninja with the following error(attached). Ninja was unresponsive and I was unable to close via task manager and I had to reboot my computer. This 32bit version on windows 32bit Vista. I am going to delete the futures workspace and re-create from scratch. I think I'll delete the 6a, 6e, and 6j historical data too.

Deleting and recreating did not solve issue

I created a new 10 chart workspace, 5min charts 7 days of data, and deleted the old 6a, 6b, 6c,6e, and 6j historical data. When part of the 10 chart work space the 6* futures are the ones that are overloading data. They work fine on a single workspace with a single chart. So far ES,CL,YM, NQ charts are not have that issue. I type the 6b 06-10 in the chart that I setup as ES 06-10, the overloading follows the symbol. ES worked just fine in the original 6b 06-10 chart. Attaching my workspace and chart template
