Hi!

When using DrawFibonacciExtensions to create some Fib lines, is there a way to apply a template to that object?

I also thought that there was a way to retrieve the values of the Fib values in the new versions of NT. Is that possible?

Thank you for your post.

Yes, within NinjaTrader 7 you may save settings as a template. Please right mouse click within your Fibonacci Properties window-->Manage Templates-->Name your template-->Click Save. You may save your Template with the name Default to be used automatically.

I mean via NinjaScript. Is there a way to apply the different templates that I have already created to a Fib object that I have created using DrawFibonacciExtensions.

I was also wondering if there is a way to get the different Fib levels from my DrawFibonacciExtensions object.

Unfortunately, you cannot access the templates.

With NinjaTrader 7, there are a few extra options accessible with IFibonacciExtensions, but unfortunately not the ones you are looking for.

Wouldn't it make sense to have the ability to set the template once you create a Fib object? I think you should also be able to grab the levels from the different Fib levels too.

I can't remember if I have already requested it, but I would also like the ability to change the font size per Template.

Could you please add these to the list of enhancements requested?

Yes that is correct.

Although, if there is a template object then you should also be able to access that through NinjaScript. I don't see any reason why you couldn't access that to create/manage templates on the fly. Regardless of how the templates are created, when you create a Fib, ATM or anything that uses a template you should be able to apply the template to your new object.

My thought is that everything that you can do via mouse clicks/keyboard input should be available through NinjaScript.

Hi.

Firstly I would like to thank you for an excellent program.

Secondly, regarding fibs, there is no "set as default" button and even after a drop down template window changes to "custom" (after changing colors etc) I have not been able to apply the custom colors and percentages to the next fib that I draw. Also if you are going to make changes to the fibs, then 3 more user input % boxes would be nice.

Fibs have templates. Right click in the properties window and select Manage Templates. You can save the default settings you want into a template called Default.
