Ameritrade data disappears
I closed NT and then restarted it and in all my charts had no data for the day. I'm connected properly so the chart does being to build with incoming data. I also tried "Reload All Historical Data" but that does not seem to do anything. If anything it wipes out previous price bars. The stock symbol is FAS and it seems it's only with that symbol. I also try creating a new chart and it comes out somewhat fine. It draws a chart but it starts at 11:30 EST. NO data before that. (It's now 1:20 EST) so I get only two hours of data when I create a new chart. Very strange. What data provider are you using? Data would only be in your data repository if you have in Tools>Options>Data the option for "storing chart data" selected.
Edit: I see you are using TDA. Is this the only instrument you are having issues with? Is it a minute, tick, or daily chart?Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

All time frames are affected. Also SSO chart. Other random stocks that I can think of show up ok, like INTC.
BTW I don't see the option you mentioned for storing data. This is what I had. I haven't changed anything.

Sorry for the confusion. "Save chart data as historical" was what I was referring to.
Can you please open your Historical Data Manager and see what data is listed as available for your current date in the Edit tab? Are the times you are missing on your chart listed as available in the Historical Data Manager or is it missing from there as well?Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

OK I checked. around 11:19 EST is when the data starts. I went to the edit Tab, then FAS>LAST>MINUTE>JUNE2010>6/7/2010>and a bunch of data came up. I scrolled down and the earlist time it shows is 11:19 AM EST.

Sounds to me as if you are properly charting all the data that is available to you then. If you are reloading historical data and you aren't getting anything more then unfortunately it seems to be the case of the data simply not being provided by your data provider.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Would you mind trying to replicate it? Today their proprietary software does have the data but it's not showing up on NT7.
