Cannot download daily and minute data for GC 08-10

    Cannot download daily and minute data for GC 08-10

    Hi,

    tried to download daily and minute data for GC 08-10 beginning with May 1st until today. Data provider is IB. But only the data of today and yesterday are downloaded, the rest is missing.

    No problems when using NT6.5

    1.) Which version of NinjaTrader 7 are you using? (Help > About)

    2.) Which version of Interactive Brokers' TWS are you running? (Help > About Trader Workstation)

    3.) Do you receive an error message in the download? If so, what does the message report?

        Can you please downgrade to the supported version of TWS 900? You can download it here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...ivebrokers.htm

          Josh,

          downgraded to 900.6, the problem still persists.

          The download time frame is set from May 1st until now. NT added the today's data to the data base, but the data from May01 untill May30 is not loaded.

            BTW, this problem is obviously of a more general nature. Just tried to download May/Jun data for ZB 09-10, and experienced exactly the same issue.

              Hello Ralph,

              As a test, please take the following steps:
              • Open the Historical Data Manager by clicking Tools > Historical Data Manager.
              • Navigate to the HDM's Edit tab.
              • Right click on GC or ZB and select 'Delete'
              • Close the HDM, then connect to IB and attempt to load data for the instrument which was deleted.

              After taking these steps, do you receive the same result?

                Yes Kyle, same results. It is somehow confusing, here are the detailed steps:
                1. I deleted GC 08-10 with the HDM
                2. I connected to IB and since I have some charts open with GC 08-10, NT loaded daily and minute data from 05/27 to 06/02 automatically.
                3. Now I tried to reload daily and minute data from 05/01 to 06/02. The minute data remained unchanged (the expected data were not loaded) and concerning the daily data the entries for 05/27 and 05/28 have been deleted.

                  From the Control Center, please click Tools > Options to open the options menu.
                  In the options menu, navigate to the Data tab.

                  In the data tab, which setting is the 'Merge Policy' drop down menu set to use?

                      Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with 'ATTN: Kyle' in the subject line.

                      In the message, please include the following:
                      1.) A link to this forum thread.

                      2.) Your most current trace file.
                      You will find the trace file in the My Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
                      Today's file would be named 'trace.20100602.txt'.
