Market Analyzer Columns Box cant Move Annoyance

Hi again,

When running NT7 Market Analyzer, I right click to open up the shortcut dialogue box and choose columns etc etc.

I then can add stuff as you see in the video's an stuff of NT7 but I cannot move the box anywhere, I seem to be only to be able to resize the Columns Box but cannot move it anywhere to the left, right, up or down.

This is annoying and probably classes more of an Annoyance than a Bug, but I can see that on the right bottom corner of the presentation box, there is the move/resize/scale thingy where the mouse over changes the mouse function, well, this happens to on the top Title Bar and I would have thought that we could left click and then drag it off to the side.

My reasoning for this is that I need to reference what is in the Market Analyzer window but cannot.

So there you have it, I dont know if this has been reported but if not, it is now :P

studio88, thanks for the report - this is new to me and I was unfortunately not able to reproduce on my end here, was the MA columns window having proper focus so you could grab and move it to your desired screen location?

If you right click on it in the task bar, select Move with the mouse and then use your arrow keys - are you then able to move it?

Hi again Bertrand,

Its not so much the Market Analyser (I like to call it watch list..lol)

Its after I do something from right clicking the the MA, then choosing say Columns, and then seeing a dialog box.

I cannot move it to the left or right, and if say I wish to close it by clicking the little X on the right top corner, I cannot, as the mouse cursor turns into a Angle Mover cursor type shape.

As posted in my other post about the crash I had, here is more information regarding this issue.

my other little bug with dialog boxes unable to being moved from the MA that I reported previously also includes the Mail dialog box too. As well when opening charts up and adding/editing inidcators, cannot move the the dialog box out of the way so we can see what is beneath for visual reference when editing or adding stuff.

So is not just with the MA its with charts too, once I right click a chart and choose something from the dialog box, I cannot move the launched box (say for example Inicators) to the left or the right, I can only make it go upwards or down, sideways etc etc.

studio88, are you for example referring to the dropdown list of available indicators that you open in the MarketAnalyzer > Columns?

I've reviewed the logs you've sent us in and there was no sign of a crash of any kind listed, so please see my suggestion for renewning the .NET framework install and then please recheck your issues as this could influence those as well as NinjaTrader builds heavily on those components.

Bertrand,

I never thought that posting a simple little issue would be so difficult.

Right click the market analyser then choose columns OR just right click inside a Chart and choose indicators, it doesn't matter which one, its still the same issue.

You then get a panel/box of some type , Yes???

My problem or annoyance with this now is, I then cannot MOVE that box anywhere to the left or the right, up or down and it blocks my vision of the Market Analyser or the Chart etc etc.

To me, this is an issue, a bug, a problem. But its not just the MA, its also the same with a Chart, if you right click that too and say for example then choose indicators, you then cannot "MOVE" the box/panel around or to the side or something.

I appreciate your posts in aid to help here but I feel that I cannot express myself any more simple than that and I apologise if my wording is not clear to you.


ps:
Its the same if you had Windows Vist, and you open up a folder which is half max open. You can grab and move the window out of the way if you want. But not with NinjaTrader dialog boxes.

Thanks for clarifying studio88, correct those modul windows / boxes currently in focus will have to be closed down first before you can access any other part in NinjaTrader. This is unfortunately by design, thanks for voicing your feedback here though.
