NT7.16 Crashes whilst aborting chart hang.

    Hi folks,

Got a couple of "is this a bug" type questions here, guess I will post the other in another thread seperately. I pre wrote this on a txt file so I could paste it here below my experience on the end of day ASX occurrence as follows:

    31-05-2010

    Using IB as a datafeed
Running Market Analyzer with Control Center
Also tracking / running 8 small 1 & 5 min intraday charts concurrently
Tried to add another code to an existing chart
Kept getting message: Loading Data ...
closed that chart and added another to replace closed one
Keep getting the same: Loading Data ...
Could not get data from any new charts
Eventually, noticed on the Control Center to the bottom right says:
ABORT for loading whatever current symbol Ninja was trying to load
I clicked Abort and it closed that stock code loading
There were other stock codes so they must have added up, a couple more closed
Got to another stock code and then it FROZE up and gave me a crash type message as follows:

NinjaTrader application has encountered a user-defined breakpoint.

    Problem Event Name CLR20r3
    problem sig 1: ninjatrader.exe
    problem sig 2: 7.0.0.16
    problem sig 3: 4bf6ccfd
    problem sig 4: mscorlib
    problem sig 5: 2.0.0.0

    xx
    problem sig 9: Debugger.break
    OS version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
    Local ID: xxxxx

(xxx is where I never wrote as I could not copy/past the original error msg txt)

After clicking close I am able to get another copy from the clipboard from another shutdown message saying also as follows:

    Description:
    Stopped working

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
    Problem Signature 01: ninjatrader.exe
    Problem Signature 02: 7.0.0.16

studio88, thanks for detailed report - could you please send us traces / logs via Help > Mail to Support so we could review those for insight into the issue you've experienced?

Were you using the recommended TWS 900.6 release version as per our IB connection guide?

This seems to be the same problem that I described on #14 of the thread below

Josh tried to reproduce, but could not, so I am glad somebody else brings up the subject again. Post #14 also includes the trace file, so you could compare the two incidents.

          Hi Bertrand,

Yes I am using the lasted version of IBs TWS

Log file/trace tick box ticked and sent via the Help menu as requested.

          Cheers.

ps: my other little bug with dialog boxes unable to being moved from the MA that I reported previously also includes the Mail dialog box too. As well when opening charts up and adding/editing inidcators, cannot move the the dialog box out of the way so we can see what is beneath for visual reference when editing or adding stuff so I guess its common, but not a bug, or a bug, and its common. which ever!

will add that to the other post as well.

Thanks for clarifying - yes this behavior is expected - you would need to close the form which has the focus to be able to access the ones 'below'.
