Tick Chart

I am using line on close charts, but i am a little confused how ninjatrader draws tick charts. every single tick is plotted on the chart, that means, that there are many horizontal lines that represents ticks of the same value. i need a tick chart that only plots a tick, if it`s different than the tick before. so there are no more horizontal lines...

how can i do that?

Hello H5612,

It will plot as per the period type value you have entered. The line will continue to plot for every x amount of ticks you have entered as period type value.

Unfortunately it is not supported to plot charts as you describe. You can set you chart to a Range 1 interval, however horizontal lines will still occur.

I don`t understand why this is not possible. I tested 3 (!!!) other charting programs and everywhere this is possible. even "normal" scolling without holding ctrl in fixed charts is possible in every other chart product i tested. everytime i want to customize ninjatrader to the way i work/trade, something isn`t possible. the standard answer in this forum: "Unfortunately it is not supported/possible."

i am really disappointed.

my suggestion: MAKE IT POSSIBLE! i pay for this.
