suggestion - log line for audio alert - showing which chart

I've created various audio alert files for various reasons. Sometimes I use one audio alert on multiple charts - usually this happens by accident if I've created a new chart using a chart template.

Anyway, I just had an audio alert sound saying "test". I know what indicator I would use that on but I'm not seeing it on the chart that I'm expecting to find it on. Assuming that NT7 is working correctly, it means that I've accidentally put that test alert audio file on another chart. To find it, I've got to open the indicator screen for each of my 12 different charts to figure out where the audio alert came from.

Would it be possible for the log to record when an audio alert sounded and what chart that audio alert came from?

This isn't the first time I've wanted to suggest this but I'm making the suggestion now because of my situation this morning.

Hello Todd,

You can check the Alerts window to check the time when an alert was triggered. It will display the instrument as well.

Unfortunately it will not display what chart initiated the alert. I will forward this suggestion to our development team and ask them if they can add this to the list of future considerations of the software.

Obviously the program knows what chart and what indicator the alert came from. If both of those things could be added to the alert window, that would be most helpful.

In your alert code you can insert any info you want, including the chart bar type and timeframe, etc. Use these to help:

Bars.Period.Id
Bars.Period.Value

or any other info you would like to see.
