Defaults for drawing objects

It would be really nice if the "Attach To" property could be included in the defaults settings, so that a line / box etc could be set to a global object by default. Currently it takes longer to go back into an object to make it global than it does to actually draw it initially.

Having said that I love the way objects can be made global - fantastic addition to Ninja. Thank you!!

Can you please clarify what you mean by 'included in the default settings'. Where exactly would you like the 'Attached to' settings to be relocated?

Unfortunately you will need to open the properties menu of the drawing object to access the 'Attach to' settings.

Sure - what I mean is that as well as being able to specify the default colours etc, it would be great if I could say that the default for a particular drawing object type is that it is displayed on all charts.

At the moment when I specify defaults for an object, and I specify an entry in the 'Attached to' drop-box, that 'Attached To' entry does not seem to be retained in the defaults.

Unfortunately, I am not sure if I follow. If you set 'Attach to' to *instrument*(All charts), the drawing object will be plotted in each chart for the same instrument using the settings you have configured.

You can save the settings of a drawing tool by clicking 'Set Default' after you configured it to your liking.

Yes, say I draw a Rectangle and I set the 'Attach To' to "Instrument (All Charts)". That rectangle does appear on All Charts. If I press the 'Set Default' button in the Rectangle Properties window when it is set to 'All Charts' I would expect the next rectangle I draw to automatically appear on all charts, but it does not, so the default setting does not retain the 'All Charts' property.

I see what you mean, thank you for clarifying.

I will forward the suggestion to save the 'Attach to' setting when drawing new drawing objects to our development team and ask them if they can add this to the list of future considerations of the software.
