Yahoo connection not downloading all of yesterday's close prices

    Hi guys,

When using the Yahoo connection and the market analyzer to download yesterday's Close prices for the Nasdaq 100 stocks, only 67 of them come in - for the others.

Same thing happens when opening a daily chart - yesterday's values not coming in.

Happens i.e. for CMCSA and ALTR.

Any ideas? Please be quick - markets will be opening soon.

    Regards

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

I have tested this on my end and the only Last Price not being displayed at this time within the Market Analyzer window is JAVA when having the Nasdaq 100 applied. Please right mouse click within the Market Analyzer window and select Reload All Historical Data.

Also I have tested ALTR and CMCSA on my end and unfortunately the data from yesterday does not seem to be available at this time from Yahoo.

      Hi Christopher,

Yes, I believe JAVA is no longer part of Nasdaq 100.

I'm still not getting any data here; just wanted to make sure it has nothing to do with the beta15 to beta16 switch I did yesterday.

      Thanks,
      ninjna

Please use the steps I have provided below to delete your historical data and Cache.
        • Close NinjaTrader
        • Documents
        • NinjaTrader 7
        • Open the db folder
        • Open the Day folder
        • Select all files with Ctrl + A
        • Right mouse click and Delete
        • Go back to the db folder
        • Open Cache
        • Delete all items from within this folder
        • Restart NinjaTrader
        • Connect
        • Open a new Market Analyzer window

Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

          Hi Christopher,

Thanks for the suggestion - however, I would like to keep my historical data if possible at all.

Since some stocks load fine and some don't, I also suppose it may be a Yahoo-related issue. I will wait until it comes out working.

If ANYONE is getting accurate yesterday's close prices for, say, CMCSA or ALTR, please SAY SO! This would mean there is something wrong on my end....

          Regards

I just tested here on my end briefly and see proper close prices for example for CSCO but not for the CMCSA ticker you mentioned, so likely an issue with Yahoo's Data. Same for you on Google?

Just tried Google, Google works. Phew.

So I'll be using Google for today, although I'm not 100% sure that the data are absolutely consistent with Yahoo's data. Better than nothing, though.

              Thanks!
