Need to find v.15 download. 7.16 doesn't run...error message

    Need to find v.15 download. 7.16 doesn't run...error message

    I began having 'hangs' in NT7.15/MBTrading and could not get it to run. It seemed to occur after I attempted to run an optimization of strategy.

    So I went through the process of installing NT7.16. Now it will not even start. Also, I cannot find the download to 7.15 to re-install it.

    Where can I download and re-install v.15? I am not sure my 3rd part app will work in v.16 anyway.

    Unfortunately version 15 is not available anymore on the download page. Can you please ensure you followed the instructions below when you upgraded to beta version 16.

    – The following video reviews the steps outlined below - http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/upload/2010-05-20_0959.swf
    – Start your current NinjaTrader 7 version
    – Within the Control Center window select File > Utilities > Remove NinjaScript Assemblies and remove every single assembly listed
    – Uninstall NinjaTrader 7 via Windows Control Panel
    – Delete the files of the folder /Documents/NinjaTrader 7/bin/Custom (DO NOT delete the sub folders)
    – Delete the folder C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 32-bit machine OR
    – Delete the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 64-bit machine


    If not, NinjaTrader will crash on startup. Can you please post your latest trace file, so I can verify if this is the case. You can find these files at the following location.

    Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> trace--> trace.20100527 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

    As per the 3rd party software, please see the information below.


    3rd Party NinjaScript Indicators & Strategies
    You may install 3rd party NinjaScript components ONLY under the following conditions:
    - The component is built from Version 7 Beta 16 (ask the developer/author for a Beta 16 generated version)
    - The component is unprotected (ask the developer/author if it is unprotected)
    - The component is protected with RemoteSoft Protector Version 3.1 (please verify with the developer/author if this is the case)

        Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with 'ATTN: Kyle' in the subject line.

        In the message, please include the following:
        1.) A link to this forum thread.

        2.) Your most current trace file.
        You will find the trace file in the My Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
        Today's trace file would be named 'trace.20100527.txt'

        Once I have had a chance to review the specific error that is triggering, I will provide further instructions on how to resolve the issue.

          Hey,

          I found the old setup.exe for .15 so I just reinstalled and I'll keep this for now. Can't afford to screw around during market hours.

              Hello, I would need v.15 as well.
              I installed v.16 following the instructions but now I have issues with the futures contracts.
              Sometimes instead of loading September contracts it loads the July ones and messes up all the data.
              Is it possible to roll back to .15? It was working fine before.

                Unfortunately NinjaTrader 7.0.0.15 is not available on our download page anymore.

                Could it be you request that much historical data so it will load the July expiry, since you have set the instrument to merge historical data? If the historical data request covers dates when the July expiry was the front month contract and you have 'Merge policy' set to merge data, NinjaTrader will request historical data for the July expiry.

                You can check the Merge policy for the instrument in the Instrument Manager. Go to Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the instrument in question in the 'Available master instruments' section and click Edit.
