    Install Instructions NT 7.0.0.16

When exactly following the install instructions, my previous workspace does not show up, when starting NinjaTrader. I only get charts without indicators, because the custom indicators in bin -> Custom -> Indicator cannot be accessed. Need to edit one of the custom indicators, compile it via F5 and then shut down and start NinjaTrader again, and it works.

This might confuse some of the other users.

Further the instruction to delete C:/Program Files/NinjaTrader 7 would have only deleted my custom sounds.

    Harry,

Thank you for the post. It could indeed be the case that your charts would not be able to plot some indicators that may now be missing from the removed assemblies.

Depending on what people have written into Program Files\NinjaTrader 7 directory, it would have varying impacts on the install process. For your case it may not necessarily be of anything consequential.

      Josh,

These two NinjaScript Assembly files (Interop.StatConnectorSrvLib and StatConnectorCommonLib) could not be removed during my process of installing NT7Beta16. The error message I received is "There is a file which references an indicator contained in this assemply. You must remove this dependency before removing this assembly."

Please, I have decided not to proceed in the installation of NT7Beta16 until I obtain your response to this post.

Both files are not coming with the NT standard installation meaning these are custom files which NT does not control. They either are coming from a 3rd party component (please double you have all 3rd party components uninstalled BEFORE updating) or one or your custom indicator is references them (which is outside of what we provide support).

Can you please clarify and also provide the exact error message you got on uninstalling NT7? Thanks

I have not uninstalled NT7. I'm at the first step of "Remove NinjaScript Assembly". I cannot seem to remember installing any 3rd party component.

I'm wont to proceed with the other steps of uninstalling NT7. What effect could these two files have on uninstalling and re-installing NT7 ?

omololu I've seen that DLL used in an R to Ninja Trader bridge that was posted on another forum. Are you using or have you imported any indicators that call R?

When I did not receive Dierk's further response I had to dig deeper and discovered that it is the 3rd part R for Windows I installed sometime ago that has those two dll files. So, I uninstalled it and did some other tweaking to remove the indicators (i. e.ADFTest and TestR) causing the error. I'm now OK. Thanks.
