Chart Trader defaults

If you change settings in Chart Trader -> Properties, then you click "Set Default", these settings aren't set as the default.

In beta 16.

Which settings are you referring to? I tried changing some values and pressing Set Default and they were saved.

I should have been more specific. The one I was trying to change was the "Order display bar length (% of chart)" setting. I haven't tried changing any of the others, but I'll try that to see if I can at least do that.

I tried to change other settings in the "Color/Display" part of the Chart Trader properties, and none of them are set to default either if I click "Set Default".

All options seem to be working here. What version of NT7 are you on?

I'm using beta 16. I never tested this functionality in previous versions though, so I'm not sure if it's something that happened when I switched to beta 16 or if it's been like this all along.

Can you please try resetting your DB in Tools>Options>Data? And then try saving your Chart Trader template? If it still persists, are you using chart templates as well? If so, please send us the chart template being used. Thanks.

I didn't reset DB or any of that, but your suggestion made me think to try something else first. I opened a chart with the template I was using, then changed the setting in Chart Trader Properties, hit Apply, then Set Default, then SAVED the template again. This worked, so every time I open a chart with this template, the Chart Trader setting is at the desired setting as default. Is this how it's supposed to work? Either way thanks for your help.

If you are using a chart template, the chart template has its own settings which can overwrite the default settings of the chart trader. You should be able to see the chart trader defaults when you don't use a chart template that has its own settings saved to the chart template.
