splits

Hi,
I have a chart in eSIgnal for AAPL which shows the splits,
but the downloaded data don't the split adjustments (gaps)
I have set Adjust for Splits and Dividends in the Options.
Any way to download the split adjusted data?

trend, you would also need to update the splits & dividends info for the symbols in the Instrument Manager, then it could be applied to your data -

Hi Bertrand,
I see the eSignal chart as you scroll back they have an arrow
for each split (e.g. 2|1 ) but there is no UPDATE SPLIT option
at the Instrument Level (under Misc). The button shows on a
Yahoo connection, but does not respond. I have checked in Options|Data
both boxes for splits and Dividends.

Hi trend, so do you get any error when you update for example for AAPL via a Yahoo connection? Or does it just appear to have 'frozen'?

I just tried on my end with Yahoo and got them udpated and loading then a 3000 day chart with no issues or gaps (so adjusted as expected) here.

Do you see the same when you for example load AAPL daily on the Yahoo connection?

Hi Bertrand,
I made a connection to Yahoo.
I opened a 3000 days chart and pressed CTRL+SHIFT+R.
The data came. There is a gap on Feb 28th 2005. I pressed
the Update SPLITS button at the Misc in the Instrument, but
there were not Updated ? Again , I have Adjust Splits/Div checked in the
Opions|Data tab.

trend, please load the chart fresh after you've updated the splits so they could be applied. Would that change the outcome you see?

Hi Bertrand,
the thing is I can't get the Upload Button in Misc to bring in the
dates/splits. Stays on status "No splits have been defined"
no matter how many times you press.
Again I'm connected to Yahoo and have checked the options on
Splits/Div

I see Trend, thanks for clarifying - please try lowering your firewall rules for a test and then retry the 'update' button - you should see 3 splits for AAPL (1987, 2000, 2005).

turned Firewall off. Connected to Yahoo.
Pressed Upload but still unresponsive,

Please note Yahoo splits update information will work again in B16.
