    "Historical Data imported successfully" modal dialog box blocks everything

    I came across this issue today twice actually which caused me to kill off NinjaTrader using the Windows Task Manager.

    I have strategies running in the Strategies tab, and I have instruments in the Market Analyzer, and I need to import historical tick data.

    Once the import was running, I left the machine unattended. In fact I went to bed.

    When I came back to the PC, there was a dialog box showing on the screen, which said something along these lines corresponding to the entry in the log:

    14/05/2010 06:29:33 Strategy Strategy 'Scalper001/7c29807154cf4ebe85b650ffabec32f9' lost price connection but will keep running.

    However the dialog box was greyed, i.e. not selected, and in fact no NinjaTrader window was selectable with the mouse, it just caused a beep from the PC. Nor could I select it with Alt+Tab.

    The tickdata import was finished, and I verified this by checking afterwards, but the "Historical Data imported successfully" dialog box was not visible.

    So I had no choice but to close down NT via the Task Manager.

    As I said, this happened twice, so I think there is definitely an issue with the dialog boxes.

    Thanks for reporting adamus, will attempt to reproduce this scenario here on my end - the modal box from the finished import should have been selectable via Alt + Tab showing to belong to the HDM.

      Unfortunately wasn't able to reproduce here - as I clicked on the modal boxes informing me of the connection loss handling for the strategy, I was able to click on the HDM successful import message as well without having 'to force it' down.

        But I don't even see the HDM successful message. Maybe the order of their appearance is the other way around. Can you try that? Let the import finish first and show its message dialog, and then cause a disconnect so that NT pops up a connection-loss box.

        This happened to me twice - it's definitely an issue.

          Believe this should be irrelevant on the next version because the strategy disconnect popups have been removed.
