    Beta 15 turns off everytime

    Hello support team,

    When I connect NinjaTrader throught InteractiveBroker's API after 5 seconds it turns off. I have 6 chart open.

    I hope yopu could help me. Sorry for my english.

    Which version of TWS are you using? To check, click Help > About Trader Workstation.

        Hi IvanBart,

        This may be part of the problem. With NinjaTrader, you will need to use an earlier version of TWS, version 900.6.

        Please uninstall your current version of TWS, then reinstall via the following link: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...nstall_900.exe

          Hello support team,

          I have several questions related to this item:

          Will I need to use the 900.6 TWS's version also for the version 6.15 of the NinjaTrader? Or is it only necessary with the Beta? ie "Could I use the latest version of the TWS with NinjaTrader's version 6.15 ? Since I would like to continue using the latest version of the TWS.

          Is there any way to make a spread indicator on the NinjaTrader 6.15?

            Hello IvanBart,

            1.) To ensure that NinjaTrader and Interactive Brokers interact normally, it is required that you use TWS 900.6 with both NinjaTrader 6.5 and 7.

            2.) Unfortunately, spreads are not currently available or supported. This is, however, on my development team's list of future considerations.

              Hello support team,

              I have installed the version of the tws 900.6 as you have indicated. I have also updated to the latest beta version 7.18 and I still have the same problem when I connect I updated the workspace and within minutes the beta turns off. I delete the workspace and do a new one again and again it closes. See if you can please give me a definitive solution.

                To clarify are you saying NT crashes and shuts down? Or are you saying you simply get a disconnect from IB? Or just the IB TWS closing?

                Please provide the log and trace files located in Documents\NinjaTrader 7\log and \trace respectively. Thank you.

                  It's NT 7.18 that crashes and shuts down a few minutes after connecting to IB's TWS 900.6.

                    IvanBart, could you please clarify how NT crashes? Is there a big X over the charts? Do you get the message that something has happened and NT needs to be shutdown/restarted? Unfortunately your trace files do not contain anything about a crash. From the trace files, it looks like you are requesting quite a bit of historical data, so it is possible that you're running into IB's data pacing limitations.

                      The way that NT crashes: I have opened the TWS, and connect the NT to IB to receive data in real time and that's when a few minutes turns itself off.
                      There isn't a large X on the charts.
                      I do not receive any message that something has happened and NT must be shut down / reboot.
                      It just closes.
                      When NT is open but not connected, it works well, only goes off when I connect to IB and start to receive real time data.
                      The NT does not closes when connected to IB and the market is closed, ie does not receive data in real time.

                        IvanBart, so NinjaTrader will just close itself and not leave any trace/messages behind? Since this is a reproducible event, can you please provide us with the exact steps necessary to get NT to "turn itself off"?

                          When the trader closes Ninja leaves no message or say anything

                          The exact steps are:
                          First open the TWS then open the Ninja Trader then I give Nija Trader connect to the TWS to receive data from IB and begins to receive data from IB and soon the Ninja Trader closes without any message or nothing at all simply closes
