Printing of the Ninjatrader performance report and strategy settings should be improved. The columns widths seems to be to wide. When I print the strategy settings for example only the top third of the page is occupied. The columns widths should be smaller so that more of the length of the page is used - or some other way to achieve "fit to page"
When any grid - for example strategy settings or the performance report is exported to Excel the lines around the blocks are exported as well. I have the trial version of MS office 2010 running on my PC - I normally use open office. My point is - it seems that the output is very specific to Excel - does this mean that someone that do not use MS office will not be able to use this feature? I preferred the exporting in the .csv format as it was in NT6.5. Surely you do not want to force people to use Excel?
I encountered the following problems using excel 2010 - this may be related to 2010 - but I doubt it since what I describe below I have done in NT6.5 for ages now without any problem. I export all the grids after and optimization - which opens 4 spreadsheets. I then copy the contents of the spreadsheets to s single spreadsheet and save the single sheet. When I do this with NT 7 this happens:
When the gird that contains the optimization results are copied over the following columns appears blank because of (I assume) the font color: total net profit, gross profit and a few others. I see when I click on the values in the optimization gird in NT itself the font color seems to be gray - please make is simple black.
When the settings grid is copied to the second sheet the left column's background turns black and therefore unreadable.
If you do not want to change the export to excel option please just add the export as csv option back
