NT7 always starts in Sim Mode

Hi,

NT7 always starts in Sim Mode on my PC. "Global Simulation Mode" is unchecked, "Always start in Sim Mode" is unchecked.

I already closed and restarted several times, checking and unchecking, choosing the live account manually on all charts etc.

Any ideas?

Hello NinjaTurtle,

Am I correct NinjaTrader automatically connects to your connectivity provider when you start it? If so, it is as expected that the sim101 account is selected in your order entry windows. You will need to manually select your live account in these windows. It is not possible to have the live account selected right away, unless you manually connect to your connectivity provider and you had your live account selected the previous session.

you're right and I guess I understand your reasons for this. Could this be security reasons in the beta phase?

Is there a chance, this will be changed, when the beta phase is over?

What is the auto connect feature good for, when afterwards one has to click through all the workspaces and charts to enable live trading? Unless one doesn't just paper trade all day long anyway, I can see no benefit in the current solution.

If it stays that way, it is more comfortable to connect manually, since this is only one click.

As far as I know this is not related to the beta phase. I will forward the suggestion to have your live account automatically selected when using the auto connect feature.

Another idea: If choosing the live account with the auto connect feature is for some reason not wanted or seems to difficult, than maybe a "Global Live Modus" menu item would be possible and make things easier...
