Selecting SSL causes NT7 v0.15 to crash

Hi,

I am trying to use the sendmail() functionality in my code. It works fine for non SSL smtp servers, however I want to use it with SSL. When I select the option to enable SSL in the options menu, i receive the "NT has to close..." error message. Attached is the trace file.

Can you help with this please?

Can you please provide us with the steps you used to hit this message?

Did you just place a check mark in the box and that was it? Did you try to send an email out? Any more information as to when exactly the message comes up would be useful. Thanks.

Sure:

I open the Options window and select the tab at the end. I tick the SSL checkbox and click OK. It's when I click OK that I receive the error. I am running NT 7 on Windows 7 64. I get this issue with both NT7 32 and NT7 64.

David, I followed your exact steps but NinjaTrader did not crash for me. I went to Tools -> Options -> Misc tab -> checked the SSL box, left everything else blank and hit ok. No crash. Then I repeated this process but filled out the email server information and it still didn't crash. Are you doing anything differently?

Hi Austin,

This is exactly what I'm doing. I rebooted my comp and then loaded NT7 32 and I was able to make the changes. I've tested the email and it works now.

That said, I just sent another test mail and received the crash message again!

I think it will be fine; I will leave the test strategy running and see if the emails come through ok.
