Also, the Fib drawing tool does not have a "Save Default" button and this is also a big problem as I can't save my desired Fib settings which are very different from the factory default.

Auto scale of chart data
There appears to be a big difference in how scaling is done from NT 6.5 and NT 7 (7.0.0.15). I don't know if this is a setting I'm missing but right now it is not really usable it is so bad. In NT 6.5 if I zoomed in it would zoom both vertically, making the bars taller, as well as horizontally, making the bars wider. In NT 7 it only zooms horizontally. If I drag on the price display it expands vertically, but right off the visible screen! In NT 6.5 it would keep the data centered. This is really important because I can't even see the ticks they are so small and can't be expanded in NT 7.

Hello tradetree,
Thank you for your post.
When adjusting the Y-Axis within NinjaTrader 7 this is expected behavior and there is not an option to keep the chart bars within the visible window when expanding.
You may save your Fibonacci Properties as a template by right mouse clicking within the Fibonacci Properties window-->Manager Templates-->Name the Template and you may replace Default-->Click Save.
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.Christopher J.NinjaTrader Customer Service

I set the Fib template, thanks. You may need to update your help as I could not find this in the help.
The Y-Axis scaling is a major issue and I'm surprised you are so casual about it. Are there plans to fix this? I mean it really makes NT not a usable platform for trading using the charts. You can't even select a tick to set a buy/stop at... are you not getting how serious this is? This change is considered a "feature" by NT???
Are there other traders out there who have figured out how to live with this scaling problem? How do you manage your trades?

Sorry if this was a bit of a rant; it is not personal. I have waited months for NT-7 due to the need for some promised features. This scaling thing was such a shock I just can't explain how it throws my plans to use NT. I keep asking, why would they make this change? I think it is related to charting multiple instruments on one display area, but there are ways to do this and other platforms that do this quite well.

Solved!
YES!!! That works great. They should make that the default, I can't tell you how many people will get frustrated finding this. I lost some eye-sight trying to trade before... Thanks.

Please right mouse click within your Y-Axis-->Properties-->Range-->Set to Automatic as apposed to Fixed-->Click Ok.
Now when zooming in on your chart this should behave the same as NinjaTrader 6.5.
