HRESULT Error

    HRESULT Error

    Hi,

    With the latest Beta I am getting the error

    Unable to load ninjatrader vendor dll

    Unverifiable code error HRESULT 0x80131402

    I have search to see what might cause this to no avail. Please suggest a fix asap.

    Thank you for your first forum post.

    This most likely means that the indicator is not compatible with the lastest NT7 beta version .14. What indicator is this occuring on, you will need to contact your indicator developer to obtain an updated version that will work with NinjaTrader 7.

    Please remove the indicator that you may have loaded that caused this to occur. Unless you are incountering this error on start up of NinjaTrader and cannot continue?

      Hi Brett,

      Thanks for the prompt response. This is just a fresh install with no custom indicators running under x64 win 7.

      I have tried installing to a fresh virtual machine under VMware workstation and it gives this same result.

        Very interesting, so you are running this on a Mac with VMWare fusion and a fresh install does this?

        Can you please send your trace file to support at ninjatrader dot com ATTN: Brett and reference this forum post so that I can forward this to development.


        You can find these files at the following locations, please attach these to a return email:

        Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20100428 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

        Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Log--> log.20100428for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

          I received the trace files and will forward them to development. Can you provide any further information on the error, such as when it occurs? The exact error message as it reads? If you can provide a screenshot this would also help.

          To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment and send to support at ninjatrader dot com and put ATTN: Brett in the subject.


          Also are you able to run NinjaTrader 6.5 on this installed instance of VMWare fusion?

            Hi Brett,

            Any word back from the development team. I have been unable to trade on my primary mobile computer and this is quite a problem for me.

            Please advise the result of your enquiries.

            The screen shot doesn't show much other than the error code.

                allthough not my business,

                try deleting any NinjaTrader.Vendor.cs

                you find in ..Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom and subdirs.

                  Hello,

                  I have heard back this morning and development says to manually delete the following 2 files.

                  Manually Delete:
                  - <my documents>/NinjaTrader7/bin/custom/NinjaTrader.Custom.dll
                  - <my documents>/NinjaTrader7/bin/custom/NinjaTrader.Vendor.dll

                  Then try and start NinjaTrader.

                  Let me know if this does the trick for you.

                    I am having this same problem, except on Windows XP. Brand new install, can't start at all. I tried deleting those files, but no avail. When I start program it just copies those files back.

                        No I never had NinjaTrader installed before, and wanted to try it out.
