Order Synchronization with NinjaScript

I know this may be a relatively simple question, but I am confused about how to get an automated strategy in sync.

On occasion, I want to start (or re-start) a strategy and immediately get the live position in sync with the strategic position (in lieu of waiting for the next signal). I changed the setting to "True" in sync position, but when I enabled the strategy, it immediately put me in a position 5 times the order quantity set in the strategy. (as it was GBPJPY this mistake cost me several hundred dollars in 2 seconds).

Of course when I enter a position manually, the strategy doesn't recognize it. I could not find anything in the NT7 help guide.

Any suggestions on how to sync an automated strat without waiting for the next signal?

billr, could you please send me the logs / traces via Help > Mail to Support and indicator in which date / timerange the autoSync order occured with the too high qty you referred to?

You could also of course manually buy the needed amount to sync your account position up as needed, just notice what position / size the strategy has open coming from historical data as you start it up, this would be shown in your strategies tab.

I will get you the log/trace files shortly. (they are on a different computer).

In the meantime, it seemed that when I bought-in manually, the strat didn't recognize it on the next trade. (using NT7)

Ok, thanks will look out for them to investigate. How do you judge that the strategy did not recognize the manually synched up account position by a manual trade?

the next trade (first automated trade) simply entered a trade that resulted in a flat position rather than reversing the position.

I don't even remember how I entered that trade. What is the best method for entering manual trades with NT7 and MBTrading?

billr, are you sure tried this with the on realtime starting strategy option set to 'Immediately submit'?

I normally use a DOM to sync up when needed, but the Control Center would work as well.
