    Trading IB using NT7

    Hi,
    There is a bug between NT and IB, so we can not trade future contracts or Forex. I bought NT so I could trade my IB accounts using NT trading platform but for over a year just about, this bug has existed. I called IB and they said, they provided NT with the information you need to fix the bug but haven't because it was too expensive for you to do. I would like to encourage you when you set up NT7 to trade live, that it be done so there is no longer that bug between NT and IB. NT has the best trading platform but it has been so frustrating, not being able to trade live.

    last time I looked into this matter with NT, the person helping me wasn't aware of the bug but when they check with someone else, they confirmed it. When you create a connection to IB, once it is created, a message comes up, stating what the bug problem is. I experienced it personally trading GC live and it was scarey as heck. So, with the new NT7, let us trade live our IB accounts and let's finally resolve this long standing issue.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your forum post.

    I have started NT7 and created the IB account and the same warning dialog still exists. I will send this forum post to development and I will let you know if I hear anything back on this issue.

      I am also interested to know since I trade GC with IB.
      Placed some trades in recent weeks, but all seemed normal.

        Im trying to find the support ticket you sent in that you mentioned. Do you by chance know what ticket number you might have used. Also, so that I may search under your email address can you please send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com so that I search using your email address that way you dont have to post your email on the forum.
