    Import historical data Problem

I am trying to import historical data from version 6.5 but I have problems.

I have a history of exported correctly ES 6.5 from 1997 to 2010.

If I import it in version 7 tells me that the data has been imported correctly, but I can not see data from 2004 to 2009, I have a big hole.

What I can do about it?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

My guess would be that the data is being saved in the wrong directory... IE 6.5's instead of 7.0's, Perhaps cut and paste instead of import.

After import in NT7 please check with the Historical Data Manager what data range is listed then for the symbols in question. You could also migrate data over on first startup of NT7 automatically by copying the NinjaTrader 6.5 directory over and then starting NT7.

          Hi Bertrand,

I was reviewing all the data in the Data Manager and everything is ok (I can see the capture attached). However, I can not view historical data in the chart from December 2004 to August 2009.

          >>>You could also migrate data over on first startup of NT7 automatically by copying the NinjaTrader 6.5 directory over and then starting NT7.<<<

I did it, but I had exactly the same problem.

In addition to this problem, I have another. When I do a backtest of the strategy I can see the statistics (only the period that has no error) however, all the graphics I get completely blank. No work. I have reinstalled the program two times but I have the same problems.

          Greetings

I migrated data from one PC to another and I lost the overnight in the TF (no data updated) so now I have a gap. Tried to reload History and repair DB, no help.

            Anything else to do?

NT 6.5 to new pC NT 7.

flredsox, which session templates for the TF are you using as this happens? Does the overnight data show up in your Historical Data Manager?

Plaket, thanks for the reply - are you trying to chart the data connected live or not, does it make a difference?

For the blank stats, please consider also to refresh your .NET framework and then rechecking, to get info on how to best proceed, please send me an email to support at ninjatrader dot com Attn Bertrand.

              Thanks

                  Plaket,

So when you actually expand those nodes you get full data available inside them?

If so, in that case, what session template are you utilizing in your backtest? Can you please try with Default 24/7?

Plaket, can you please contact us using the Help > Mail to Support feature and ensure to include the database file? I'll then test this on my end here with your DB. Thanks

                        Bertrand,

I am having the same problem. Migrated historical data from NT6.5 to NT7 and data missing from 2004 - Dec 9, 2009. I have even reloaded the data and tried a backup from my other computer but the chart still will not display these dates. I have no connection - its all historical data.

The db backup file is very large (1.3GB tick data) so it won't email. Is there another way to get it to you? An FTP site perhaps?

Also, I was looking at my files under the old NT6.5 install and noticed I have no data there. Is the historical data taken and moved completely to the NT7 folders during migration? I read somewhere that I could have both versions on my computer at once and may have reasons to go back and forth.
