Will the final version of NT7 use .NET 4.0 compiler?

It would be nice if it used 4.0 compiler even if the 'supported' language version is 3.5 (ie where ninjaScript editor does not have to recognize 4.0 syntax but it will still compile for those who edit the files in visual studio)

Since .NET 4.0 can run side by side with the older version it should be possible to use it for the indicator/strategy code even if the main program must be compiled with 3.5 for some reason (ie possibly due to limitations of Remotesoft?)

NT7 is and will stay on .NET 3.5.

I'm not sure that .NET 4.0 is out of beta anyway, and 3.5 has been proven for a while now.

.NET 4.0 was officially released earlier this month.

Dierk is there a specific reason why you will not upgrade to 4.0? It seems rather silly not to use it considering how easy it is to upgrade and/or interoperate between the two frameworks (not to mention the performance advantages of 4.0 such as the significantly improved garbage collection).

Absolutely. Not sure why you believe it's silly to stay on the save side of thing which is having thousands of beta users already testing NT7 based on .NET3.5. I'd rather would consider it silly putting off 99% of the users who would be unhappy about any delay imposed by additional beta phase on switching to .NET4.0 for no reason -> ain't gonna happen.
