sendmail and NT7

Mail Woked fine in NT 65 from Tools-Options-Misc Tab

Updated to NT 7.

Mail now FAILS in NT 7 with the error re: AUTH COMMAND.
Was something done different in NT7? My SMTP does not require SSL.

ohowie, were you testing with the same 'blank' defaults in both versions? Did you try lowering your firewall's filter rules before attempting to use SendMail?

I need to turn off windows firewall? I was using mail.optonline.net in both cases with my user name and password

I tried it with firewall completely off... still same error?

The one should work, your ISP uses the same server for POP3 / SMTP access....have you tried with our default servers (blank settings)?

what would be my username password? All blank got a mail error instead fo the auth error. "Mail did not send"

OK, i don't think i did anything wrong... i think there is a bug when updating that info. i triend exiting the program after each try and it worked. K?
