    Click-drag scrolling on both axes

Right now NT7 allows click n' drag scrolling of charts only along the time axis. Could the same functionality be enabled for scrolling on the price axis? In other words, click anywhere on the chart, and you can drag it freely in both dimensions.

If it breaks something else, then perhaps make it an option. Ctrl-click-drag on the price axis itself feels pretty clunky, and requires too many actions by the user just to scroll around the chart and obtain the desired view. Even the NT6 solution (price scale fixed on the last price but variable range) would be preferable.

Along the same lines - IMO things would work much better if "automatic" scaling duplicated NT 6.5's behavior. The mode doesn't seem to have much of a purpose now. I find myself clicking in auto-scale to "correct" the vertical view and center on the price, then adjusting the range (going into fixed mode) to get it to look right, then having to jump back into auto mode and repeat the process whenever I scroll back and forth in time, or whenever the price moves significantly in the vertical. Trying to move the chart vertically when in fixed mode is a real PITA as I need to constantly run my cursor over to the price axis and do the CTRL-drag thing, then run the cursor back over to points of interest or scroll horizontally, then back to the price axis, and so on...

It seems like small potatoes - but I like to be constantly scrolling around the chart, changing the scaling and the view, etc. I probably make hundreds of these adjustments every day, and after just a few minutes it strikes me that NT7 requires an absurd amount of effort for what should be a simple, one-step task. For me, it's a pretty dark blot on what otherwise seems to be a far superior version to NT6.5.

My suggestion is to have auto mode work precisely as 6.5 did, and let the user switch between them using that little button at the top of the price axis (it would switch between "F" and "A" to indicate the current mode) rather than automatically entering fixed mode when the price scale is adjusted.

Presumably, dragging the charts in the vertical (if implemented as I suggested below) would be disabled when in auto-scale mode. These two changes would make both scaling modes useful and useable, while right now they both feel broken.

Thanks for your feedback on both posts. At this time, new functionality will not be added until after NT7 production release. With respect to your second post, I am not sure if this will help but we added upper/lower margins to the chart panel when in automatic scale mode.
