Some do, some don't. Ed's add-on Renko has them. It should be an option. I use them (on "another" platform). Too bad you left them off.

Yes so do Median Renko charts but strictly speaking a Renko chart would have no wicks - that is it's raison d'etre.

Could you, would you, add another bar type - Renko With Wicks??? I really doubt I am the only one that would like this feature. No hablo Francais.

Well I certainly can't code at that level but might I suggest looking at big mike trading dot com. They have code for median renko and stuff like that.

Unsure if mediators will allow a link - hence the words.

btw you do have to make a contribution to this forum to get the "free" stuff.

Mindset - you've made your point. My last post was directed to a staff member - who "Can" code at this level. Never mind. I will send an email to support. BTW thanks for the link, but now is the time to get NT the way we want it, and I want Renko WITH wicks built in.

Thanks for the suggestions - traditional Renko bars indeed do not feature wicks, however as noted also here, a custom bars type could be coded offering this, however we unfortunately don't supported coding at this level.

I would add that renko's with 'wicks' add a whole layer of complexity to trading in real time and coding strategies for them is fraught with little oddities - fyi.
I have actually been testing a wick renko (median) for about a month which is why I responded to your ask and I have come to the conclusion that they are useful but you really really have to understand the nuts and bolts of renko charts FIRST to effectively use them.

I have 2 Renko add-ons in 6.5 - each one has it's undesirable quirks. I also have a free Renko (with or without wicks) chart builder in MetaTrader4 that I use. For one thing, wicks show where a trailing stop would be hit. Also, I just like to see them. I believe the developers here could modify their current one and have it running in about 10 minutes, maybe 30 at most. New system. Same old attitudes.
