Request: Saving Indicators and Drawing Objects

Is there a way to save only the indicators without all the other fluff that are saved in the "chart template"? For example, suppose I use SMA(20) and SMA(50). I would like to apply these two indicators on any charts I might have opened. Hence, If I already have another chart with Bollinger Band, I want to apply the two SMAs on top of the Bollinger. If I were to change from one template to another, this would effectively replace the Bollinger for the SMAs.

Hence, is it possible that only the indicators be saved (to be applied later)? Thinkorswim allows one to not only save "styles", which is similar to the template in NT, but also individual indicator of choice as "studies", as well as drawing objects like price levels (Support and Resistance), trendlines, channels, fibonacci lines and even customized objects like boxes to be used later. I'm not suggesting you should copy their exact features but I find them intuitive and quite useful on a daily basis. Without these features, I would need to manually add indicators and otherwise waste time that could be better spent on other tasks.

The long anticipated NT7 I beleive does provide that functionality.

I just got done for the second time reviewing the video overview for NT7 and I didn't see anything with regards to saving indicators. I also wasn't able to find anything in the help manual. If I'm mistaken, please point me to the right direction.

I guess I didn't make myself very clear above. What I am looking for is to be able to save indicators and apply them to any charts. Suppose I already saved a indicator template (we'll call it "My Indicators") with the following indicators: SMA(20), EMA(50) and EMA(200). Now I want to apply this template to the current chart that has the Bollinger Band. After I open and apply the "My Indicator" template, the chart will show all 3 moving averages on top of the Bollinger Band.

When a template was created in NT 6.5, not only were the indicators saved but every other parameters about the chart also got saved. Therefore, when you loaded the template in another chart, it overrode the entire settings for the current chart. Hence, if I were trying to apply the 3 moving averages mentioned above, the bollinger band would get replaced.

saliva, the way NT7 saves the chart template is very similar to NT6.5. Unfortunately there is no way to just save the indicators and not everything else.
