    trades profit/loss bug

One of my favourite graphs is:

    control panel -> account performance -> graphs -> graph=trades profit/loss

It is very handy to watch it intraday to visualise the distribution of returns.

unfortunately it squashes all of the data up into the left hand side of the graph after around 700 trades have occurred.

    Hello mtthwbrnd,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you please tell me what From and To dates are being used when generating your report within the Account Perfomance tab?

If you set both From and To to 4/15/2010 does the issue persist when generating a new report?

      The dates are both 15/04/2010.

The problem does not occur if the control panel windon is maximised, but if it is not maximised, then all of the data is squished to the left.

Can you please attach a screen shot of your window both maximized and not.

To save a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image and save as a jpeg file.

          Attached as requested.

Actually it is not to do with maximise, it occurs between having a wide window and a narrower window. But when you get too many trades, no window width will be wide enough to not scrunch the data up to the left.

PS there is an easier way to take screen shots.

Windows 7 has a "snipping tool": start -> search -> "snipping tool" will locate it.

              Hello,

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce this on my end. Can you please tell me what version of NinjaTrader 7 you currently have installed under Help-->About.

                7.0.0.14

If I select "long" or "short" then the graphs draws properly, probably because there are fewer points to plot. It looks as though if there are more than around 700 points, all of the points get tagged as trade number 1 on the x-axis.

I tested this with about 200 trades however I will test this again with 800+ to see if I can reproduce. I will follow up as soon as I have additional information.
