IB Gateway

Interactive Brokers has a new API interface call "IB Gateway". But even when I start this and then go to connect to "Interactive Brokers" through NT, NT brings up a TWS log in window. NT should know the IB API (IB Gateway) is running and not require a new log in to TWS...

NT currently only supports TWS 900.6. Anything after that is not supported at this point in time.

It is on our feedback list to review and see what we can do for the future. Unfortunately there is no additional information I can provide in regards to IB Gateway at this point in time.

Hi - along the same line, I seem to be in a bind: Ninjatrader wants to use build v4 built 900 but that seems to have issues with proxy servers (http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en..._Notes_904.php) - At least I cannot get it to connect. The Gateway connects just fine but NT doesn't support it.

Anybody have luck with the supported TWS and proxy server connections?

Does version 900 itself establish its connection?

Unfortunately, I do not have any additional specific information to provide on this topic. With that said, you might check with IB support to see if they can offer any additional tips or tricks.

Has anyone given it a test drive? I get pretty tired of the regular evening shutdown, especially when I forget about it - NT does not like it when IB shuts itself down.

Guys,

Check this site out, this is what I use to keep IB TWS running all week without it restarting it.I have been using it from about 6 months or so and it works very well. It just keeps changing the restart time between AM and PM and that keeps it open all week without restarting it.

IB gateway is on our list of future considerations. Right now our priorities are to get NT7 to a production release so all of our developmental resources are in use.

The supported version of TWS for NT 7.0.0.20 currently is 906.8.

I apologise for the dumb question - can I use NT 6.5 with IB freely or there are some limitations and|or troubles?
