Clean install of NT...how best to do it ?...

    Clean install of NT...how best to do it ?...

    In doing a clean install of NT....un-installing NT & deleting the NT7 folder in my documents first...
    But want to be able to save & restore existing custom Hot Keys & Custom Sessions...what is the best way to do this...??

    Where are the Custom session files and custom Hot Key Manager files located ??...can these be copied out of NT and then pasted back in after a new installation...??

    Or as another option...if one does a backup of just the Control Center (evidently custom Hot Keys and Custom Sessions are saved there)....does a restore of that after the new install...would that restore any errors that may have been in the previous version of NT ??

    The backup utility would be the only way to save the Hot Key assignments. Unfortunately I would not know what issues you were having before and a restore may/may not bring it back again. If you want a clean reinstall I suggest you write down your hot keys or take a screenshot of the various pages and recreate them afterwards.

      Unable to install NT7b14

      I tried my usual clean install method and I get this error. I searched for the tmp file mentioned but can't find it.
      Can't get past this step. Please advise.

        9 hours and no help?

        9 hours and No help from here or NinjaTrader support? No wonder so many on Big Mike's are switching to Multi Charts & Market Delta. I have a lifetime license, & I can't get this answered in 9 hours? Trading is almost 24 hours a day, 5.5 days a week.

          For the error you get, please try uninstalling NT 7 with this MS cleanup tool - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

          Then reinstall clean from the provided link.

            Thank you,

            I asked Vince to increase the hours. I'm personally working on a Euro edge, but to trade it as well as one on the DAX, etc. I need to have longer support hours. Just the reality of Trading.
