Going back to 6.5?

I have been using beta 7 live trading for a while now with no issues. I read in a post that you do not recommend trading live with it, is this correct? Will I be able to import beta 7's database into 6.5? Will all my history be preserved? Are there any issues? Thanks

mic.o8o, correct as this is a beta release we generally do not advise live trading with it.

Unfortunately there's no migration back to 6.5, you would need to set it up fresh.

Thanks for the reply. If I do go back to 6.5 is there way to import the new data that will be created into old beta 7 db? Will they merge or will I totally lose my old NT7 data if and when I go back?

You can have 6.5 and 7 installed at the same time. When you go use 6.5 it will not influence anything on your 7 db.

Correct but for accounting purposes I would like to have all my data on one db. I have been using 7 live for trading now i go back to 6.5 I have two separate dbs. When I go back to 7 I want the new data in 6.5 to merge into 7s old data. Is this possible?

Hi mic.o8o,

This is possible, but not through an automatic process. Rather, you would need to add each execution manually.

To do so, right click in the Executions tab and select Add.
You will then fill out the required fields (instrument, time, price, etc.) to add the execution to your database.
