Symbol in Stock Symbol List

I was told that symbols like Volv-B.st would be possible to import in NT7, but it doesn't seem that way. Have you chosen not to correct this in NT7?

Precisely, you can import any stock symbol you'd like with the historical data manager import function. The formatting of the file to be imported hasn't changed from NT 6.5. Are you running into trouble importing certain symbols?

Are you saying that I can use the historical data manager to import symbols? So I shouldn't use File\Utilities\Import Stock Symbol list? I'm just trying to create a list of symbols.

My apologies, I thought you were trying to import data, not a symbol list.

What kind of issues are you running into? Does NinjaTrader just skip over the symbols you think it should be loading?

Aha, OK. It doesn't accept dashes (for instance Volv-b.st). It doesn't exclude it, just says that the import file isn't formatted correctly. If I remove the symbols with dashes in them the importing goes fine. I brought this issue to light in NT6.5 and was told it would be resolved in NT7, so I got a bit disappointed when it wasn't. Yahoo uses dashes in it's symbols and manually putting in 150 symbols feels like the 1800's...
