    7680 X 3600 pixel destop supported?

    NT7.0.0.13 locking up when using drawing objects and/or scrolling tool.
    Could it it be posible that video card/monitor setup could be part of the problem?
    using 12 monitors 3 high X 4 across at resolution of 1920 X 1200 to a total destop resolution 7680 X 3600 pixel resolution
    using 3 NVIDA Quadro NVS 400

    I checked your trace file and it contains multiple crashes as below:

    2010-04-07 08:03:38:625 ********* exception trapped *********
    2010-04-07 08:03:38:625 Parameter is not valid.
    2010-04-07 08:03:38:625 at System.Drawing.Bitmap..ctor(Int32 width, Int32 height, PixelFormat format)

    Can you please tell me what exact actions you perform in the software before the crash occurs. Does the crash occur consistently when these actions are performed or do the crashes occur randomly?

    I am not sure if your monitor setup is related.

      scroll funcions and >| icon

      Hi NinjaTrader Customer Service person,

      It appear that I can consistently reproduce the crashes. At this time 8 of them in a row, when i use the scrolling tool; click and drag chart (whit the mouse), and/or using go to current time/price icon ( >| ) at the top right of the chart. Four different charts must be involved for the crush to happen.
      Every new click and drag and/or click of (>|) icon on different chart results in move up in Page File usage. By the time of the crush it moves up by 0.24GB.

      Crush will not happen if I use scrolling bar at the bottom of chart, or when less then 4 charts are used with the scrolled method above.

        Hello RomanFX,

        I was unable to reproduce this on my end. Can you please give me specific steps you have taken to reproduce this issue? Information such as the instruments you have loaded, time interval, session templates, if multi series charts are being used, etc.

          I am attaching my workspace and picture of my desktop.
          You must install NexGen indicators on your machine first. You can find a demo of NexGen indicators at www.nexgent3.com
          Steps to reproduce failure:
          step one load workspace with indicators.
          step two click on empty area of the chart drag it do your right, so it shows you historical price action.
          step three do step two on four different charts.

          I am presuming that NexGen software is not the problem. No one in NexGen trading room is having this type of problem

            Unfortunately 3rd party software is currently not supported in NinjaTrader 7 beta.

            Can you please uninstall the NexGen software and check if the crashes persist.

            Dragging charts on 4 charts worked fine on my end.

              No NexGen indicaors

              I have reproduced the problem with just regular charts no indicators, no NexGen just default tick charts settings
              11charts:
              ZN, NQ, ES, 6E, YM, TF, ZB, ES, $USDCAD,$USDCHF, $USDJPY.
              all 150 tick, 3 days look back time
              Look at the Widows Task Manger Page file usage history
              when i started scrolling the usage spiked up and stayed there till the crush

                RomanFx,

                We tried this on various computers, some single monitors, some dual-monitors, and a quad-monitor. Unfortunately we do not have a 12-monitor setup at our disposal and were unable to reproduce the issue with our lesser monitor setups as of currently.

                I have forwarded this to development to see if they have any more ideas as to what may/may not be happening. Thank you for your patience.

                    Windows XP 64

                    I have 12 monitor setup running in dual boot. In the windows xp 64 when i load NT7 (Beta13) 32bit mode Control Center crashes on start up. When i force shut down the program and run it second time it loads fine. When i reboot, and load up NT7 it does not respond again.
                    I am attaching trace files. Let me know what i should do next.

                      I checked your trace files, however I did not see an error or crash in the 4/9 trace file.

                      The 4/8 trace file does list a crash of the software, see below.

                      2010-04-08 18:52:27:421 ********* exception trapped *********
                      2010-04-08 18:52:27:421 The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.

                      Could it be you had a Windows Explorer window opened that contained NinjaTrader files when you were running NinjaTrader?

                      Please check if your virus scanner or any other application locks files in the (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7 folder, which NinjaTrader needs to write to. Please make sure to configure your virus scanner so that none of the files in directory above would be locked. Or remove that directory from the scanning list.

                      The two sessions reflected in the 4/9 trace file ends with:

                      2010-04-09 12:08:56:062 Restoring workspace 'Untitled1'...

                      Please note that it can take a while to load all windows of your workspace.
