optimization parameters reset after recompile

when you recompile a strategy/indicator, any parameter setting in the strategy analyzer are lost - they're all reset to the default.

i know you're reloading assemblies and stuff is changing underneath, but it would be really nice if you could attempt to carry these values over during recompilation.

You can set defaults to what you want to use by right clicking in the grid and selecting "Set Default". These would be used instead of what is programmed into the script as hard defaults. Would that suffice for you?

well, i realize that you can use the 'defaults' for this purpose, but:

• i'd rather not overwrite my defaults, just in order to recompile
• it's yet another step i have to remember to do when recompiling

the fact that you have a 'save as defaults' feature shows that you're capable of persisting strategy settings during recompiles. can't you just automatically save the current settings to a temporary location before a compile and restore them after?

Thank you for the feedback. I have discussed your proposal with development, but unfortunately there are a lot of underlying implications which would require extensive research before we can fully understand the scenario. The area is extremely sensitive and we would not want to break anything in this regard at this stage of the beta. What I have done is added this to our list to carefully investigate after we finish stabilizing NT7 to see if we can fiddle with the behavior.
