Tired of bugs...Basic Order Entry

Not sure this is a bug or an erratic feature but when using the 'Basic entry' as soon as you open a position and have multiple targets stops and you try to use the + and - buttons things just get very very confused ... you click the + or - once and then the row changes... and you click once again it changes again, at some point you don't even know which order you are changing...

This behavior has been around forever and is very counter intuitive... does anyone even test these things...

I'm growing really tired to Ninja and all this bugs, strongly considering a final move to a different platform and I'm sure (from what I read) many serious users are doing the same... users that get it for free don't care anyway...

Please guys, let's get this product serious and mature, enough is enough.

NT7 is beta software and as such you are bound to run into bugs. Of course it is our desire to be bug free and we are always working to resolve bugs. This particular one is a known grid limitation which development is already looking into to fix.

Josh - I respectfully disagree with your beta assessment and also the justification of this being a 'grid ' limitation'... let's say this a grid limitation, how does this functionality even pass your QA control to go into beta? One thing is to find bugs, the other thing is to release functionality that is completely wrong... in my opinion, the Basic Order entry is not buggy, is simply not usable at the moment and should never have even be promoted to QA...

I definitely understand your frustration. The BE, as all other UI, now comes with a state of the art grid technology. Unfortunately this implied major recoding of the underlying logic which implies that there could be situations where what had been working before with NT6.5 now is broken. This is one of reasons why we wanted to go through that extended beta phase.

On this particular issue: the past few days we had been trying to resolve it as we feel - like you - it would be priority. Unfortunately we can't report a resolution as of yet. Nevertheless we keep pushing in order to resolve it as soon as possible.

Assuming you have more than one PC, the best way to do things would be to have the stable NT6.5 running live to enter trades etc., and NT7Beta running where you do analysis which uses NT7 features like multiple charts, better backtesting, strategy management etc.

For core order entry and strategy execution there has not been that dramatic a jump in features between 6.5 and 7 that you have to have NT7 running live. There have been huge architectural changes in NT7 and it will take them to sort through all the bugs. That is why it continues to be in Beta, and should stay there until at least 95% of features are at a 95% confidence level.
