Indicator On Indicator gives strange results

Please look at the attached image.

I have two instances of EMA of EMA of EMA (Triple EMA) with 3 bars on APPL

This is with Yahoo Historical data

I've seen this a few times happen to me.

It happened in B12, and still in B13

The screen shot is taken right after a restart with one of the Triple EMA's plotted at startup, and the other plotted fresh.

The lines should be identical, but they are not.

I am not sure what you mean by plotted on startup vs plotted fresh. Can you please provide exact listed steps as to how you produced this scenario? Thank you.

it was part of a workspace that autoloaded when I start up NT.

exactly how to reproduce? not sure. But I followed the steps in Ray's video on how to make an indicator on indicator

I did change values while make the triple EMA, so it's possible that one of the values internally didn't take hold.

Not sure... I just know it's not right

Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce. When did you add the indicators onto the chart? Did you have the indicators all running on EMA of close the whole time? Or did you link some to High/Lows?

I don't remember for sure, but I was playing with Median and Close.

I'd also changed my Double EMA to a Triple EMA

And I'd played with the changing periods from 14 to 7 to 5 to 3 ....

Tried a few more times, unfortunately I was unable to reproduce. Should you be able to reproduce we would be interested in any additional information you can provide as to the steps you took to get it. In the mean time we will keep our eyes open for other reports. Thank you.
