    Load Data Bars

When I change my settings for "Load Data Bars" to increase the number of bars, I have to reload the screen.

Is this expected behavior? I'm on NT7B12 with Yahoo Historical on daily bars.

I would think that this should happen automatically. Did I miss something?

    Hello Matt,

I should load automatically. I tested an AAPL daily chart that loaded 50 bars initially. Subsequently I changed the value to 100 by accessing the Data Series menu. Once I clicked Ok, the additional 50 bars were loaded.

Subsequently I tested different values for the 'Bars to load' setting, however the chart updated as expected. I tried different stocks as well, such as the MSFT.

Can you please restart NinjaTrader and check if the issue persists when you create a new chart. If so, please let me know what exact steps you take.

After a restart and attempt to change bars, I got the following assertion to pop up immediately.

There were some follow-on popups about which bar was stuck, and then a permanent popup about how NT needed to start. Problem was that every time I clicked OK, another popup came up too... seemed to be in a loop of some sort.

I finally had to use task-manager to hard shut it down.

After that, I opened up a fresh chart and changed bars as expected

Maybe the screenshots and description will help you fix a hard to track/reproduce bug.

BTW - I was changing number of bars by CNTL-F and change bars to about 5000 bars of data. I was using YAHOO data feeds on common symbols like RTN and MSFT and AAPL

Good to hear the 'Bars to load' setting now works as expected.

Can you please let me know if the crash recurs and let me know what exact steps you performed. That way we can further investigate this crash.

Steps taken were exactly as before

Essentially, what I'd consider a normal scenario.

I tried these steps as well, however I did not experience an error. Are you saying that each time when you perform these steps, the error occurs?

Nope. 1st time I had to reload. 2nd time I had assertion errors. Been OK since then. something got clogged in the pipes. Not sure of what.

I had a single indicator running on either MSFT or RTN daily bars ( I had been playing with setting High, Close and Low for Input types previously that were feeding into my indicator - if that helps)
