B12 - Always Errors when Changing Options`

I will always get a error when I have NT 7 running, I open the tools menu > Options, change some setting and click "OK". I am presented with the "NT has the close" dialogue.

I am running B12 on Windows 7 64.

I will email in the trace files.....

When you write in with the trace files, please include the following as well:

1.) A link to this forum thread.

2.) Were you using the 32 or 64 bit version of NT 7?

3.) Which option was changed resulting in the crash?

Thanks for the reply, I think the issue is due to local AV. I run AVG on all machines, and this does not seem to cause any issues with NT 6.5. However when I added a path exception to AVG for the NT 7 directory under "My Documents" and the issue has now just stopped.

Not sure what NT 7 does differently from Nt 6.5 at the File system layer, but there is an issue somewhere

Would it be possible for you to disable the AVG software temporarily in order to test to see if the issue would persist?

However when I added a path exception to AVG for the NT 7 directory under "My Documents" and the issue has now just stopped.

As I noted in the comment above, by adding an exception for the NT 7 directory (under My Dcuments) into AVG (Resident Shield), the issue seems to have abated.

NT7 manages the historical data now in separate files in <my documents>/NinjaTrader7 and no longer in a single DB file which cuases issues in NT6.5
