    Hello jackh,

    Can you please reboot your PC and check if the freezing behavior persists when you start NinjaTrader.

    Does it freeze on start-up or when you connect to your data feed?

      Yes it persisted all night. And freezes on startup. I do not have connect to data provider on setup enabled.

        Ok, so it still freezes this morning when you start NinjaTrader, correct?

        If so, try the following. While NinjaTrader is closed, please go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->workspaces.

        Transfer the workspace that opens upon start-up temporarily outside the workspaces folder. Check if you can start NinjaTrader.

        If so, close it and transfer the workspace back. Start NinjaTrader and check if the issue persists upon opening the workspace.

          Fun Friday afternoon planned

          I reset & repaired the data base. Tried to open a workspace. No good, still error. Will try a clean reinstall later then paste and compile the indicators I use and rebuild my workspace.

          What a fun Friday afternoon I have planned

          See attached log.

          All the errors talk about XML.

                Will do the whole process after the close, just wanted to try something. In case a clean reinstall was not needed or you have determined it was something else.

                  Too late. I got frustrated and started new install. But if problem persists thanks for the diagnostic procedure. Did not know I could do what you suggested.

                    Clean Install - Why do I forget this?

                    I've posted about doing a clean install (Big Mikes Forum) & I still got lazy because at first it seemed to work.

                    Did what post 9 said (& above - did a clean install), rebuilt from backup, everything works.

                    Remind us in the next beta release, please?

                      NT7 freezing at startup..

                      I have a Dell Precision M6400 laptop that came preloaded with Vista Ultimate 64 and I allways had issues with Nt7. It was crashing several times a day and was freezing up every single time I was restarting the computer.

                      Well, four weeks ago I decided to reformat the Hdrive and reload Vista64. Since that day, NT7 runs excellent and I never had that startup issue again. I have to mention that I never reinstalled NT6.5..

                      I do experience some strange charting issues with B12 release, though.
