    Beta 12... What I've done

If it helps anyone from having a bad day, here is what I did to get Beta 12 to play nicely:

    1. Operate on the assumption anything compiled before Beta 12 will create errors in Beta 12... be it a zip or a raw .cs file. Maybe I'm wrong, but so far that assumption is working for me.

    2. Any indicator or strategy you want to use in Beta 12 will need to be recreated from scratch. I used the Wizards to generate a "blank" template, and did copy/paste/compile for my custom indicators and strategies..

I may be off base, but so far this is working. Good luck!

Incorrect. As the release notes stated this is related to code compiled and protected by RemoteSoft protector. Anything else will not cause issues (provided it was compiled with an older beta before and NOT NT6.5).

    >> Any indicator or strategy you want to use in Beta 12 will need to be recreated from scratch
Incorrect as well. Please post an indicator or strategy you created with a prior NT7 beta so we could take a look why it does no longer work for you.

I've just emailed you a few files. A Strategy called "ExportData" is attached is anyone wants to have a go. That is a b11 compile.

Like I said, what I've done works for me and this is the longest I've been without errors since b11 came out.

What exact problem do you have with that strategy? It compiled fine here.

Rebuilding by copy/pasting would not create different code. Why would that make any difference?

I just re imported it, opened it via Edit NinjaScript Strategy, and hit Compile and Close. Then I wanted to enable it via the Strategies tab in Control Center, and I get what you see below... a blank dialog box. I'll now restart NT and see what happens.

            I suggest checking the logs.

I'm getting some strange problems - No Indicators (even built-in) work

I can't add any indicators to a chart - none. Workspace that are already open are fine, but I can't change them without leaving them devoid of any indicators. I even renamed workspaces and tried to load and got a bar chart. Tried recompiling, same problem.

Tried MXASJ's solution it works. Attached is EMA2. Basically I stripped off the _Indicator from EMA, saved it as EMA2 (check the code) and pasted it and it compiled.

I went through this with an earlier Beta version, and had to hand paste and compile ALL custom indicators.

But even the built-in ones don't work now.

We are actually onto something with could explain the
AssemblyResolveEvent handlers cannot return Assemblies loaded for reflection only.
                  bug.

Let's first try to get some solid ground: do you still have the issue? If so, could you please:
                  - uninstall NT7B12
                  - manually remove folder <program files>/NinjaTrader7 (if still there)
                  - manually remove any file in <my documents>/NinjaTrader7/bin/custom. Please don't touch the folders there, just remove the files
                  - download and install again NT7B12

Please let me know if that would make a difference for you. Thanks

                    DB problems continue!

It appears that the DB problems are continuing. NT shuts down on setup of a chart, of DOM. I was the told the new DB was better, but I'm still waiting to see ANY improvement!!!

The T&S charts lose their location when NT is restarted!

Please provide the exact (!) error symptoms/messages so we could analyze the issue. Thanks

I have an 6e & YM workspaces working properly, as long as I touch nothing. Will try what you suggest after the close today.

                              Fin-ALG TPO Chart in V7 Beta 12

Yesterday I did a fresh install of V7 Beta 12. ( I deleted all files per standard directions prior to installing new Beta) Setup and operation of TPO Charts went smoothly. However, when I closed and reopened platform later last night my computer totally froze. I am using tick data and small TPO size so computer is working hard. But do not understand why it works flawlessly and then can not reload. Of course I saved workspace. No logs are available and I could not view log myself because computer was totally locked. I could not even shut down using the task manager. I had to press reset button on computer. Did not have this issue with Beta 11.
