    New Log Error Message

    I have been getting the following error for the past few days and was wondering what caused it and how to eliminate it from reoccurring:

    Hosted.Adapter.OnLineUpdate: Order quantity has to be greater than 0

      Josh,
      It occurs immediately after I connect to Zen-Fire.
      I reset and repaired my DB as requested on a separate issue and it still occured.

          Not that I know of.
          That was the first thing I checked and I was flat.
          I reset and repaired the DB which should have cleared out anything that errored out.

          I just tried it again, reset DB, no open positions, and I still received the error in the log on connecting to Zen-Fire.

                  The reason you get this is because you placed a trade on the "donottrade" account. That account is there only for you to log in and receive live data. Trades would have to be placed on your Sim101 account instead. Trades that go to the "donottrade" account get rejected. If it were a live account it would get rejected for an invalid quantity.

                    I only enter via strategies on this machine.
                    Not really sure how the strategy entered on the donottrade account vs. sim101.

                      You can check your strategy parameters to see which account it is submitting to. When you log onto that account you can see some ES and CL trades on the "donottrade" account.

                        Josh,
                        I think there is a misunderstanding on how the demo accounts work.

                        Throughout the day, I get multiple error messages stating that an order was placed on the DoNotTrade account like below:

                        Mirus Demo, Account write permission denied affected Order: Buy 1 StopLimit @ 81.08 x 81.08

                        This is not from me, this comes intermittantly all day from other users.

                        Talk to Mirus or Amp and they can explain the details.

                          This is understood. It does not matter if you did it or someone else did it. The reason you get the error message is because someone did the illegal operation as discussed in my previous post. As such you get the message. This only impacts your demo account and can be ignored for all intents and purposes.
