    New error: AssemblyResolveEvent....

This is a new one for me:

Failed to execute DB job 'StrategyUpdateJob': There was an error generating the XML document.: AssemblyResolveEvent handlers cannot return Assemblies loaded for reflection only.

This is generated by a basic MA crossover strategy, attached, which was fine with Beta 10.

Actually it looks like starting any of my 'strats causes that event. Any ideas? NT7b11.

EDIT: To remove attachment once it was clear another strategy was the cause of the issue.

Deleting the Strategy contained in the November2009SC zip file (from the Indicators download section) and restarting Ninja has cleared the error. Importing that was one of the things that changed in my install today.

After a delete and restart, importing anew and compiling that strategy brought the error back.

    FWIW...

      Hello MXASJ,

      Thank you for your post.

Please romove the file by going to File-->Utlities-->Remove NinjaScript Assembly. Next please reimport the November2009sc zip file.

Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

Actually. I'm suspicious about a different issue. Could you please try this:
File->Utilities->Remove NinjaScript assemblies. Are there any listed? If so, please remove and see if it makes a difference. Thanks

          Hej Dierk,

          Here you go:

File>Utilities>RemoveNinjaScript Assembly is a blank box, even though I have several custom strats and indicators.

File>Utilities>ImportNinjascript>November2009SC to import that strat again.

Then start any strategy and you get that error.

Remove NinjaScript Assembly lists nothing (blank box)

Use Tools>Edit NinjaScript>Strategy to highligh and delete the offending strat... and all is well again.

Note I did NOT import the price data with that file, but it shouldn't make a difference (it does but it is a different error).

Thanks. Please let's try next step:
            - backup your custom files/strategies by File->Utilities->Backup
            - uninstall NT7 via control panel
            - manually delete directory <program files>/NinjaTrader7
            - manually delete all files in <my documents>/NinjaTrader7/bin/custom. Please don't touch the sub folders
            - download and install NT7 again

Does it make a difference? Does November2009SC now work?

              - backup your custom files/strategies by File->Utilities->Backup

              DONE

              - uninstall NT7 via control panel

              DONE

              - manually delete directory <program files>/NinjaTrader7

It did not exist after the Win7/32 Uninstall process was complete

              - manually delete all files in <my documents>/NinjaTrader7/bin/custom.
Please don't touch the sub folders

Done. Two DLLs and some XML files.

              - download and install NT7 again

Done. On restart my indicators and stratgies were all there even without a restore from backup. Two strategies could not load, I needed to edit>compile them. That worked. Imported the November2009SC file again, edit>compile, and the same error appeared.

Thanks. Strange ... may be there is something wrong with your .NET. A member of our support team will provide you instructions on next step shortly.

OK. No prob. I should add that the Remove Ninja Script Assembly box is still empty. Also, even after I manually delete the strategy, the error still pops up unless I have restarted NT.

Hmm .. then actually let's try something different before. Would you mind completely resetting your DB by:
                    - terminating NT
                    - manually deleting the DB file <my documents>/NinjaTrader7/db/NinjaTrader.sdf

If needed you could do a backup by File->Utilities->Backup before deleting the file.

OK. Tried that. Restarted NT, noted the DB was back to default, started a strategy. All OK.

                      Imported November2009SC strategy. Edit>Compile. Close.

                      Disable the currently running strategy.
                      Re enable the strategy.

The error occurs as before, and requires Edit>Delete. Close. Restart. to clear.

While NinjaTrader and any other application on your PC is closed, please uninstall .NET Framework up to version 2.0. No errors were found in the Windows install (Win 7 Pro/32).

One thing I have not yet tried is a FULL delete and reinstall of Ninja without any of my strats and indicators, which I'll do now.

OK. Here is what I did:

Uninstall NT 7 via Control Panel
Delete NT 7 folder in My Documents
Confirm there is no NT 7 folder in Programs
                              Reboot the PC
                              Install NT7 b 11
                              Add Zen Fire connection
                              Add IQ Feed connection
                              Connect to Zen Fire
Add SampleMACrossover strat via Stratgies tab. ES 06-10, 1 min. Enable.
Import November2009SC strategy. Edit>Compile, then close the window.
                              Disable SampleMACrossover strat.
                              Enable SampleMACrossover strat.

                              The same error occurs.

Remove Ninja Script Assembly window is empty, so I manually remove it. Try to shut down and save workspace, Ninja Trader Needs to Shut Down dialog pops up. Click OK, but it doesn't shut down. Shutdown without saving, it shuts down OK. Trace attached.

I actually don't need to use that strategy, but if this process saves me some grief down the road and makes for a more stable NT7 I'll be a happy guy.

FWIW nothing else is installed at that machine expect Office 2003, R, and the Java ThinkorSwim app.

It also has the default XP VM installed (but not running), and on that VM is VS C# 2008 Express, C++ 2008 Express, the Devnet version of X_Trader/Guardian, and nothing else.

Let me know if you want me to try anything else.
