OIF testing

Hello...I'm not getting positive results when I submit an OIF manually, but it is working when I submit one automatically.

1a) I've created an OIF file, and when I manually paste into the "NinjaTrader 7\incoming" folder, it is not being processed. I'm sending a "CLOSEPOSITION" command (as per the syntax created from the OIF Builder interface, see attached document) in the file, but it's not closing the position as it should.

1b) However, when I send the same command using the "Generate" button...that is working (the command gets processed and the order gets closed).


2) The file (the one that I've copied manually) is not being deleted out of the "incoming" directory...like it did in NT 6.5

Ben, thanks for reporting - any log errors as this occurs on your end?

I get 'Unkown OIF file type...' returned for yours.

Yes...just checked my trace file...I also get an "Unknown OIF file type" on the file that I manually pasted into the incoming folder.

However, I dragged and dropped the same file into the incoming folder, and there is no error, but also the file is not deleted either.


Also, I'm getting the same error in NT 6.5! Perhaps there's something wrong with the "close.txt" file I'm using? I don't understand this, because I used the OIF Builder to generate the OIF command.

Yes, same would come for 6.5, the file is not named correctly, try oif.txt please.
